From the upper station, passing through Thanh Van Heaven Gate, you will enter a sea of clouds. At over 2,000m altitude, Bich Van Zen Monastery welcomes visitors and Buddhists with its pure Vietnamese architecture amid drifting mist. As you walk through the echoing sounds of temple bells in the mountain clouds, at around 3,000m altitude you will see the majestic Amitabha Buddha Statue, 21.5m tall and made of bronze, standing solemnly in the mystical clouds and looking compassionately over the world.
In this sacred and peaceful moment, guests may offer prayers as spring arrives, with blooming new buds of rhododendrons, raspberries, peaches, and plums sprouting all around.
From the Buddha statue, the Arhat Path featuring 18 bronze Arhat statues (2.5m tall) leads you to the Kim Son Bao Thang Pagoda complex, which showcases the ancient wooden Vietnamese temple architecture of the 15th–16th centuries. Guests can also visit the Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva statue and Mountain Spirit Temple. The scenery is surrounded by centuries-old rhododendron trees, which bloom beautifully in March and April with white, yellow, red, and pink-purple flowers.
Finally, after climbing 600 stone steps, guests reach the summit of Fansipan at 3,143m, the “Roof of Indochina.” From here, each visitor can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view and reflect on a truly personal and unforgettable experience.
11:30: Return to Sapa town, check out of the hotel, then have lunch and rest.
