From the upper station, passing through Thanh Van Dac Lo Heaven Gate, guests will enter the land above the clouds. Perched at over 2,000m above sea level, Bich Van Zen Monastery welcomes visitors and Buddhist pilgrims with traditional Vietnamese architecture amidst drifting mist. Walking through the echoing temple bells among clouds and mountain winds up to an altitude of 3,000m, guests will admire the majestic 21.5m bronze Amitabha Buddha statue standing solemnly in the mystical clouds, gazing compassionately upon the world below.
In this sacred and tranquil atmosphere, while praying amid the warmth of spring and the budding rhododendrons, sticky rice flowers, peach blossoms, and plum blossoms, visitors may feel flowers of love and hope blooming within their hearts.
From the Great Buddha statue, the Arhat Path, home to 18 compassionate bronze Arhat statues standing 2.5m tall amidst drifting clouds, leads guests to the Kim Son Bao Thang Tu complex, featuring the ancient beauty of Vietnamese wooden pagodas from the 15th–16th centuries. Here, guests may worship the Goddess of Mercy statue and Mountain God Shrine. Blending into this scenery are centuries-old rhododendron trees enduring the cold weather, preparing to bloom in brilliant white, yellow, red, pink, and purple colors during March and April.
Finally, after climbing 600 stone steps, guests will reach the summit of Fansipan at 3,143m above sea level — the Roof of Indochina. From here, overlooking the magnificent surroundings, each visitor will surely have their own special emotions and personal wishes.
