From the upper station, passing through Heaven’s Gate (Thanh Van Dac Lo), you will enter a land of clouds. Bich Van Zen Monastery, located at an altitude of over 2,000m, welcomes visitors and Buddhists with traditional Vietnamese architecture surrounded by mist. Walking in the sound of temple bells echoing through mountains and clouds, at around 3,000m altitude you will see the Great Amitabha Buddha statue made of bronze, 21.5m high, standing majestically above the clouds and gazing compassionately toward the human world.
In this sacred and peaceful moment, visitors may join their hands in prayer amidst the warm spring atmosphere, while rhododendron, raspberry, peach, and plum buds begin to bloom, symbolizing love and hope. From the Buddha statue, the Arhat Path—featuring 18 bronze Arhat statues, each 2.5m tall—leads you to the Kim Son Bao Thang Pagoda complex, with its ancient wooden Vietnamese architecture from the 15th–16th centuries. Visitors can also worship the Guan Yin Bodhisattva statue and the Mountain God shrine. The scenery is surrounded by centuries-old rhododendron trees, waiting to bloom in white, yellow, red, purple, and pink during March and April.
Finally, after climbing 600 stone steps, you will reach the summit of Fansipan at 3,143m—the Roof of Indochina. From here, visitors can enjoy panoramic views in all directions and experience unforgettable emotions and personal wishes.
