06:45–07:15: The Limousine transfer bus picks you up at designated meeting points in Hanoi’s Old Quarter and near Hanoi Opera House, departing for Ha Giang.
Note: For guests arriving in Hanoi early in the morning or the previous night, pickup may be arranged at Noi Bai International Airport or hotels in the Dien Xa area near the airport.
Lunch: Enjoy lunch at your own expense at a rest stop along the way.
13:30: Arrive in Ha Giang City. Enjoy free time to explore, relax at a café, or wait for the rest of the group.
14:00: Meet your tour guide and join the group on a standard tourist vehicle. Stop for memorable photos at Ha Giang Kilometer Zero, the intersection of National Highways 2, 34, and 4C, also known as the Happiness Road.
16:30: Stop at Quan Ba Heaven Gate to photograph the iconic Fairy Bosom Mountains (Quan Ba Twin Mountains) and enjoy panoramic views of Tam Son Town from above.
17:30: Arrive in Yen Minh and check in to your hotel.
18:30: Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Free time in the evening.
Overnight in Yen Minh.
06:00: Enjoy breakfast before setting off to explore the spectacular landscapes of the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark.
Along the way, visit:
Yen Minh Slope, Tham Ma Pass, Pho Cao Market, and Chin Khoanh Pass, famous for their winding mountain roads and breathtaking scenery.
Sung La Village: Visit a traditional H’Mong earthen house featured in the 2006 Vietnamese film The Story of Pao, directed by Ngo Quang Hai and adapted from Do Bich Thuy’s short story The Sound of the Lip Flute Behind the Stone Fence. The film won four Golden Kite Awards. Stop to relax and photograph seasonal buckwheat flowers near Chin Khoanh Pass.
Lo Lo Chai Village: Discover the culture, architecture, and daily life of the Lo Lo ethnic community in Vietnam’s northernmost region.
Lung Cu Flag Tower: Visit this iconic national landmark at the northernmost point of Vietnam.
12:00: Return to Dong Van Town for lunch. After lunch, continue the journey to:
Ma Pi Leng Pass: Travel along one of Vietnam’s most spectacular mountain passes, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful sections of the legendary Happiness Road.
Ma Pi Leng Canyon: Admire the dramatic cliffs and deep canyon, reaching approximately 800 meters in places, showcasing the rugged terrain of northern Vietnam.
Nho Que River boat trip: Take a boat downstream along the emerald-green Nho Que River to Tu San Canyon, one of Vietnam’s deepest canyons. The river enters Vietnam near Xeo Lung Hamlet, Lung Cu Commune, Dong Van District, and flows through Tu San Canyon along the foot of Ma Pi Leng Pass.
Note: The Nho Que River boat trip and shuttle transfer from the mountain pass to the boat pier are not included. Additional cost: VND 250,000 per person.
17:00: Return to Dong Van Town and check in to your hotel.
18:30: Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. In the evening, explore Dong Van Old Quarter, a historic area that has stood for nearly a century. Relax with a cup of coffee at the Old Quarter Café at your own expense.
Overnight in Dong Van Town.
Morning: Wake up early to witness the lively atmosphere of Dong Van Sunday Market, where ethnic communities gather from surrounding villages to trade local produce, traditional goods, and handicrafts.
07:00: Enjoy breakfast and depart for Hanoi.
Along the way, visit:
Vuong Palace (Hmong King’s Palace): Located in the Sa Phin Valley, this historic residence belonged to Vuong Chinh Duc, one of the wealthiest and most powerful figures in the Dong Van region during the early 20th century.
Photograph the unique Sa Phin Moon Rock Field, a rugged landscape of jagged, weathered gray rocks stretching across hillsides and surrounding traditional houses. The unusual rock formations create a striking, wild landscape where vegetation grows through narrow cracks between the stones.
12:00: Enjoy lunch in Ha Giang City. After lunch, guests may say goodbye to the group and enjoy free time in the city.
16:00: Board the Limousine transfer back to Hanoi. Dinner is at your own expense.
22:30: Arrive in Hanoi. End of the tour. We look forward to welcoming you on another journey!
